The Symposium will take place at the Montanuniversität Leoben.
Arrival by train:

Leoben can be reached from all directions via the Austrian Federal Railways (Österreichische Bundesbahnen, ÖBB, https://www.oebb.at/en/).
Arrival by plane:
The closest Airport to Leoben is the Airport Graz (Flughafen Graz (GRZ): https://www.flughafen-graz.at/en/home.html). From there you can reach Graz main station (S-Bahn Styria S5) where you can switch to trains towards Leoben. The total travelling time from the Airport station to Leoben is approximately 1.5 hours.
However, the bigger platform is probably the Vienna Airport (VIE) (https://www.viennaairport.com/) which is also well connected by the Austrian Federal Railways (Österreichische Bundesbahnen, ÖBB, https://www.oebb.at/en/) A train ride to Leoben takes usually less than three hours.
